This vintage soft luxurious blend of Peruvian llama fibers and virgin sheep's wool, by Cuddle Coat New York. This cape coat is from the late 1960s to early 1970s. Vintage capes from this label are rare, high-quality, and highly sought after by collectors because of the material and dramatic styling. This coat was made using a premium blanket-weave technique, with soft plush llama and wool cloth, provided a uniquely signature "cuddly" feel. The coat's defining feature is its ultra-soft material. Unlike heavy, rigid, and scratchy wool winter coats, this fabric was mechanically brushed to create a luxurious, cloud-like velour nap. The result is a heavy, insulating shield that remains incredibly supple, allowing the cape to drape fluidly and sweep beautifully with movement. This is unlined with a huge cape design, 3/4 sleeves, slightly fitted at the forearm, deep angled pockets, mock funnel neck collar, batwing swing cape cut, hidden placket, and double-faced or blanket-weave technique in soft Llama wool.
